We guarantee your SDS (Varnostni list) is accurate, compliant with the latest EU standards, and adheres to the national language mandate.
🇸🇮 Why SDS (Varnostni list) Is Mandatory in Slovenia
Slovenia directly implements all EU chemical legislation through its national legal framework, primarily the Chemicals Act (ZKem). Compliance is overseen by the Chemicals Office of the Republic of Slovenia.
REACH Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006: Sets the mandatory 16-section structure and content of the SDS (latest format via Regulation (EU) 2020/878, mandatory since January 2023).
CLP Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008: Governs GHS-based classification, labelling, and packaging of substances and mixtures.
Language Mandate: The SDS must be made available in Slovenian (Slovenščina). A limited exception exists for professional or laboratory activities in quantities less than 10 kg/year, provided the recipient understands a foreign language SDS.
Annex VIII to CLP: Mandates Poison Centre Notification (PCN) for hazardous mixtures. In Slovenia, the required information is submitted via the ECHA Submission Portal to the Chemicals Office of the Republic of Slovenia and the Center for Clinical Toxicology and Pharmacology at UKCL (the Poison Centre).
Unique Formula Identifier (UFI): The UFI code must be included on the SDS (Section 1.1) and the product label for all hazardous mixtures.
A compliant SDS (Varnostni list) for the Slovenian market must be:
Prepared as per the EU Regulation (EU) 2020/878 format.
Written entirely in Slovenian.
Include the Unique Formula Identifier (UFI) for hazardous mixtures in Section 1.
PCN-ready to support mandatory submission via the ECHA portal.
